Cabinet Refinishing
Refined color and a smooth finish, executed with care for every door and detail.
We refinish cabinetry with close attention to the details that define a room: color, sheen, surface quality and the lines of the woodwork. Working with designers, contractors and homeowners, we bring a new finish to sound cabinetry, from kitchen doors and drawers to libraries and built-ins.
A coating suited to the cabinetry
The coating must suit the existing surface and the intended result. Centurion makes two-component polyurethane cabinet coatings; M.L. Campbell Krystal is a separate conversion varnish system. We review the selected coating and preparation as part of the project scope.
For repainting previously finished cabinet surfaces, the written scope states the agreed PCA P14 preparation level; restoration or resurfacing is specified separately. See how we define preparation and the finished surface.
From kitchen cabinetry to custom built-ins
We assess doors, boxes and existing coatings before planning the finish. Kitchen cabinets, bath vanities, libraries and built-ins each present different surfaces and details. That assessment establishes the repairs and preparation the work requires.
Plan the finish into the project
Door removal, preparation, application and curing all need space in the schedule. Before work begins, we review the surfaces included, the application area and access to the room. Those details help you and your project team plan around the work.
The work behind a smooth finish
Cleaning and surface preparation establish the foundation for the coating. Color and sheen samples bring the finish into context alongside counters, flooring and hardware. We pay attention to both: the surface beneath the paint and the way the finished cabinetry belongs in the room.
Scope and estimate
The estimate accounts for cabinet condition, the number of doors and drawers, repairs and the selected finish. We review that scope with you so the preparation and finished result are clear before work begins.
