Color Unlimited Painting
Staining and Clear Coatings
Wood grain, color and sheen, brought together through skilled finishing.
Stained doors, beams and millwork bring depth and character to an interior. We prepare and finish wood with attention to its grain, color and sheen, working with designers, contractors and homeowners on both new work and refinishing.
Respect the character of the wood
Doors, mantels, railings, libraries and built-ins call for a finish suited to the wood and its use. Existing coatings and exposure to wear or weather guide preparation and product selection. Interior and exterior pieces require systems appropriate to their location.
We work to the PCA Industry Standards. Applicable preparation and sample requirements are agreed in each written scope. See how we define preparation, samples, and the finished surface.
Establish the color before application
A sample on representative wood helps establish the intended color and sheen. Oil-based, water-based, lacquer and conversion varnish products serve different purposes; the project scope identifies the selected system. Natural variations in wood remain part of the finished result.
Define preparation and finishing together
The estimate reflects surface condition, stripping or preparation, access and the chosen coating. Bring us the wood species, finish reference or specification to begin the conversation.
