Questions, answered.
Practical answers about scope, preparation, finishes, and working with our team, with direct help for project-specific questions.
Pricing & estimates
Is there a minimum project size?
No. We consider the scope, finish, location, and timing of each project. Contact us about an individual room, a specialty surface, or a larger renovation.
How much does a full interior repaint cost in Dallas?
Interior painting is priced to the rooms and surfaces involved. Ceiling heights, trim and doors, surface condition, color changes, and the chosen finish all affect the scope. Share the scope or finish specification so we can prepare an estimate for the work involved.
How much does exterior painting cost?
Exterior painting depends on the size and height of the home, surface condition, access, preparation, and repairs. A review of the exterior helps establish the work needed and the finishes suited to it.
What does an estimate include?
Your proposal sets out the agreed scope, finishes, and pricing. Let us know about repairs, color changes, or special finishes you are considering so they can be discussed as part of the estimate.
Do you require a deposit?
Deposit and payment terms depend on the project. Review the amount and payment schedule in the written agreement before work begins.
What payment options are available?
Contact the office to confirm current payment methods and discuss the schedule for your project. Any agreed payment terms belong in the written agreement.
Process & timeline
How long does a typical project take?
Timing depends on the amount of preparation, the surfaces involved, access, and the selected coating. Drying conditions and weather can also affect the schedule. We discuss an estimated timeline for your project rather than applying one duration to every home.
How far out are you booking?
Availability changes with the project schedule and the type of work. Contact us with your preferred timing so we can discuss current openings and any preparation needed before work starts.
How do you protect floors and furniture?
We plan protection around the room and the work involved. Coverings, furniture, access, and cleanup are part of the project discussion before work begins.
What time does the crew start and stop?
Working hours are agreed for the project, taking account of access, building rules, weather, and the people using the space. Tell us about any timing restrictions during planning.
Do you work on weekends?
Ask about weekend or after-hours options when discussing your project. Availability depends on the scope, crew schedule, and any site restrictions.
Specialty finishes
What specialty finishes do you offer?
Explore Decorative Plaster, Venetian plaster, lime wash on brick, Fine Paints of Europe high-gloss finishes, cabinet refinishing, and color and stain matching. The right choice depends on the look you want and the surface being finished.
How long does a decorative plaster wall take?
Decorative Plaster and Venetian plaster need preparation and time between application stages. Wall condition, size, the chosen effect, and drying conditions determine the schedule. We review those details when planning the work.
What affects the cost of a Fine Paints of Europe finish?
A Fine Paints of Europe finish involves the chosen coating, surface preparation, and application work. A high-gloss surface can make small imperfections more visible, so preparation is an important part of the scope. Product-specific drying and care instructions also matter when planning the work.
Can you match a color my designer already specified?
Yes. Share the color name, product reference, or physical sample. We review the intended color, substrate, and coating, then work from a sample. Color and sheen vary with materials and lighting, so the reference and proposed finish need to be viewed together.
Do you do cabinet refinishing on-site?
We plan cabinet refinishing around the cabinetry, coating, and site conditions. The scope identifies work on fixed cabinetry and removable components, together with protection and kitchen-access requirements.
Warranty & guarantees
What is your warranty?
Our residential repaint warranty is three years. Coverage and exclusions are set out in the written terms, and specialty finish coverage depends on the project agreement. Ask us for those terms so you know what is covered and how to raise a concern after completion.
How does the Good Contractors List guarantee work?
Ask whether your project is eligible for the Good Contractors List guarantee and review the program’s current terms before work begins. Eligibility, registration, and claim requirements are set by the program.
How can I check insurance coverage?
Ask for current insurance documentation before work begins. If your property manager, designer, or HOA requires a particular certificate, share those requirements while the project is being planned.
How do you approach work in older homes?
Paint in homes built before 1978 may contain lead. Tell us the age of the home so we can discuss testing, applicable lead-safe requirements, and the preparation needed for your project.

Materials & process
What paint brands do you use?

Do you spray or roll?
The application method depends on the surface, coating, access, and surrounding space. Spraying, brushing, and rolling each have uses. We explain the method proposed for your project and the preparation it requires.
